DISCLAIMER: Yes, some parents make horrible mistakes intentionally. I am NOT talking about these parents. Parents that make mistakes intentionally to harm their children such as abuse, violence, etc. are in desperate need of help. I feel the need to say this because if you have been the product of any form of abuse, this article is not meant to dismiss this type of behavior. And if you are a parent that engages in this type of behavior, this is me telling you to reach out for help.
Am I a good enough parent?
Don’t we all ask ourselves this question at one time or another; or maybe every single day?
I know, I do.
And this question often plagues us in the middle of the night or after a heck of a hard day with our children.
So I’m here to answer this question because the answer is integral to our parenting day in and day out.
I wonder how many of you think you are a good parent; that you are truly doing a stellar job. And how many would never raise their hand in response to this question because they just don’t feel worthy of the “good enough parent” title?
